This time, Philadelphia got on the board first, courtesy of Owen Tippett at 7:43, his 20th of the season, and he'd also have 2 goals on the night, the other at 18:23 of the 2nd period on a Flyers power play. Before that, New Jersey had made it a 4-1 lead, after tallies from Brendan Smith (2) at 16:36 and Bastian's 1st of the night (4) at 17:48. The score was 4-2 New Jersey heading to the final 20 minutes.
The Devils added a 5th goal after Hischier's 2nd of the game at 2:48, before Philadelphia's Nick Seeler (1) at 9:07 made it 5-3 for the final Philly goal. Bastian's 2nd of the night at 18:15 made it 6-3 Devils on an empty Flyers net for the final goal of the whole contest.
