Dewar Achieves First Career Hat Trick; Wild Thrash Predators

Connor Dewar had his 1st career NHL hat trick as the Minnesota Wild thrashed the Nashville Predators 6-1 Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena.

Dewar made it 1-0 Minnesota at the 6:08 mark of the 1st period to kick off a 3 goal burst by the Wild, the other tallies coming from Jake Middleton (4) at 14:01 and then Kirill Kaprizov (7) on the power play just 31 seconds later at 14:32 to quickly build a 3-0 Minnesota lead heading to period 2. Pat Maroon (3) at 1:43 made it 4-0 Wild and then Dewar made it 5-0 with his 2nd of the night at 11:12. In the 3rd period, Juuso Parssinen (4) grabbed the only Nashville goal at 2:37 before Dewar completed his hat trick at 9:47. Originally, Dewar would also add a 4th, joining a laundry list of players in NHL history with 4 goals in a game, but it would be waived off (or maybe that was the NHL app fritzing out? I don't know lol)

With the statement win, Minnesota improves to 7-10-4, 7th in the Central Division, with a home clash against Chicago on December 3 at 2 pm. Nashville drops to 11-11-0, and 6th in the Central, with their next contest a home duel against the New York Rangers on December 2, with puck drop scheduled for 4:30 pm. (I will not be able to watch either broadcast because of local blackouts, yay!)
