Robertson Logs 2nd Hat Trick in 3 Days, Stars Stun Wild

Jason Robertson achieved his 2nd career NHL hat trick after his first last Friday as the Dallas Stars beat the Minnesota Wild 6-3 Sunday night at Xcel Energy Center.

Nico Sturm provided the opening goal for Minnesota and the game, his 9th of the season at 10:52 of the opening period. Dallas would tie things at 1 with 3 seconds left in the period, though, as Joe Pavelski (22) snuck one by Minnesota goalie Kaapo

Kahkonen on the power play.

The 2nd period was all Stars, as they tallied 3 straight goals for a 4-1 2nd period lead heading to the 3rd. Robertson started the scoring off at just 1:38, his 27th of the year on the power play to give Dallas a 2-1 lead. At 3:13, Riley Tufte (1) made it 3-1 Dallas, and then Robertson added his 2nd of the night at 9:52, his 28th of the season.

While Minnesota tallied a pair of goals in the 3rd, courtesy of Kirill Kaprizov, who would score both goals at 16:19 and 18:03 for goals 27 and 28 of his season, Dallas would counter by Jamie Benn (14) at 18:55 and Robertson's hat tricker (29) at 19:28.
